PARDOhats

PARDOhats, the laboratorial project by designer Sol Pardo, uses millinery as a canvas to express ideals. The hats serve as a focal point, embodying the brand's fundamental concepts—art, craft redefinition, and design.

Concealed within these pieces is a harmonious blend of different forms and cultures, with a clear intention to set new standards of beauty. Natural materials, such as raffia and other noble elements, take center stage, accompanied by the distinctive brand seal.

Above all, PARDOhats offers exclusivity through the meticulous work of its director and designer, Sol Pardo. Each piece undergoes a dedicated 10 to 50 hours to perfect every detail, underscoring the brand's commitment to the value of slow fashion.

This commitment involves constructing concepts, forging identity, and distancing from the transient allure of instant gratification. PARDOhats deviates from satisfying seasonal whims, creating enduring objects that showcase the profound potential of genuine encounters.

After the confinement we understood what the true value of our brand is and that is that PARDOHats was always a project with a lot of self-confidence. Its essence motivates and pushes the entire team to bring out their most creative part and show ourselves transparent, just as we are. We have fun designing collection by collection, creating fantastic universes, parodying and rethinking together, among colleagues and friends, where we are going as a society.

Somehow they always ask me why I speak in the plural if I lead PARDOHats alone and the answer is that this project is not only mine, I share it with all the people who have always shown interest in it and for wanting to be part of it, simply out of pure love for the art. It is for all this that I think of PARDOHats as one big family. She has photographer uncles, stylists cousins, editorial grandmothers, assistant daughters, muses boyfriends, etc. Hence, the curiosity to shape this clan came to mind, how could I embody the PARDOHats family? The answer was “an 1800's CIRCUS FREAK wagon” in 2020.
